TRANSPARENCY

What you should know.

We are a Florida political committee

South Lake Citizens Coalition is registered with the Florida Division of Elections as a multicounty political committee. All contributions and expenditures are reported publicly and are searchable through the Division of Elections database.

Contributions are not tax-deductible

Because we are a political committee, contributions to South Lake Citizens Coalition are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

Florida disclosure requirements

Florida law requires the coalition to collect and report each contributor's full name, mailing address, occupation, and employer for contributions over $100. This information is part of the public record and is included in our quarterly reports filed with the Division of Elections.

No anonymous or third-party contributions

Florida law prohibits anonymous contributions and contributions made in another person's name. We are required to verify the identity of every contributor.

Cash limits

Cash contributions are limited to $50 per person per election under Florida law. We accept cash up to that limit, but we encourage check or electronic contributions for the cleanest record.
